Remembering Miss Lauretta

Dance Unlimited has lost it‘s founding star…. Before we were DU we were the St. George Dance Studio started by Miss Lauretta in 1962.  Miss Lauretta shared her passion for dance with every student who walked through the door. She was so many things to so many of us: tough but caring, strict yet loving, talented, dedicated, dependable, honest, inspiring, and so much more…. 

Miss Lauretta is our origin story. She is the reason why so many of us dance (and make sure to have clean hands and know our right from our left 😉). Without Miss Lauretta there would be no Dance Unlimited. Without Miss Lauretta, so many of us would’ve taken different paths and perhaps never even met! We were so blessed to have her in our lives and she will always remain in our hearts. 

We feel sad today knowing that Miss Lauretta has taken her final bow here with us, but we all know that she is lacing up some spectacular tap shoes in heaven and is ready for class to begin. 💔😢👯🥺💜
